Goodbye CommentCast, Hello ReviewCast

by Nick Seuberling on February 3, 2014

For those of you who are currently OS users subscribed to the CommentCast system, you may have received an alert today that said that CommentCast is no longer. But don’t worry, they’ve launched a new service that’s available to all platforms, Windows, Linux etc. All you need is an email address. The new service is called ReviewCast and they’ll now allow you to subscribe via email. They will email you the last 25 reviews from all over the world for any iOS Application, OS X Application, Podcast or iBook listed on the the App Store or iTunes Store. I tested it out this morning and I’ve already received a few automated emails from them. I’m just glad as a Windows user I can now have access whereas before I had to rely on friends (Corey Fineran I’m looking at you) for updates on CommentCast.

I submitted a few of my podcasts and the emails I’ve received say there are no reviews. Hopefully this is just a bug they work out. I loved CommentCast. It would also be cool if they could incorporate Stitcher reviews.

Steve!

Thank you for keeping this service alive but in a new format. I’m not kidding when I tell you a lot of Windows users will be happy about this. I’d love to have you on the show sometime to talk about the service as well!
